It has been a very long time since I’ve added any content to my blog, but a lot has changed over the last few years and now is as good a time as any to making more of my projects available publicly.

Last year I developed a tool called ‘Mover‘ that allows you to migrate Windows devices from one Workspace ONE UEM environment to another. This was very useful for scenarios where a customer needed to move between Cloud tenants or when a customer is doing some major backend Active Directory changes and we needed to update the device records etc.

After it being used by customers and the EUC teams, there was a lot more requests for updating the tool to enable you to migrate an Intune MDM managed device to Workspace ONE UEM. So, after some tweaks we are at the version now that supports migrations from both Workspace ONE UEM & Intune.

Now its even easier to move your devices over to Workspace ONE!

One of the best parts about this tool is that it can be used on devices that are Workgroup, Domain Joined and even Azure AD Joined. In the latter scenario, when migrating a device that is AAD Joined, the device remains joined during and after the migration – it just disconnects it from Intune.

Rather than going into all the details here, I’ve added a comprehensive readme over on my Github page. Head on over to see all steps in the process, requirements and links to test it out.

As always, test this out in a UAT or testing environment before running in Production!
